Bucharest Conference on Geometry and Physics

Location
The conference will take place on the ground floor of the Simion Stoilow Mathematics Institute of the Romanian Academy, in the "Miron Nicolescu" conference hall. The Simion Stoilow institute (abbreviated "IMAR") is located close to Bucharest's Old Town and Athenaeum; general directions to the institute can be found here.
Getting around
Participants arriving at the Henri Coanda International Aiport can take bus 783 or can order a taxi to The Roman Plaza ("Piata Romana"), which is located within walking distance of IMAR. Take the escalator one floor down in the arrivals hall to reach airport bus stop, where you can get a bus card at the ticket counter. You can call a taxi using the ticketing machines in the arrivals hall.
Participants arriving at Bucharest's North Railway Station ("Gara de Nord") can take the subway to The Roman Plaza ("Piata Romana"). Subway tickets can be bought inside each subway station.
The most convenient means of public transport in Bucharest is the subway (see map); currently, there is no subway line from the airport to the city center. The local currency is the Romanian leu, abbreviated "RON" (1€=4,75 RON).

Prospective participants should register online by March 31, 2019 using the link to the right of this page. Please specify if you plan to attend the conference dinner; the dinner fee (of 25 EUR) can be paid during the first morning of the conference.
